Tradition × Art
"Light Carving Exhibition in Udatsu"

Light sculpture artist Yurukawafuu exhibition

~Modern blue shining in the city of indigo~

Exhibition by Light Carving Artist Yurukawa Fuu - Modern Blue Shining in the City of Indigo - Yurukawa Fuu, a light carving artist who has captivated art museums across the country and is a hot topic in the media, will be holding his first Shikoku exhibition at the Yoshida Family Residence in Wakimachi, Mima City, the hometown of indigo.

A soft blue light that shines in the darkness. A white LED is passed through Styrofoam, creating a fantastical landscape of light on the carefully carved surface. The color "blue" at the forefront of contemporary art is alive and well here.

A special space where the deep "Japan Blue" nurtured by the tradition of indigo dyeing and Yurukawa Fuu's innovative blue resonate together. Experience a story of blue where the past and future intertwine in the historic Udatsu townscape.
